Abstract

Sokaraja District in Banyumas Regency holds significant local potential in agriculture, livestock, industry, and tourism. Its culinary industry—famous for traditional delicacies like "getuk goreng" and "sroto"—and cultural assets such as Mooi Indie-style paintings and Sokaraja batik offer unique attractions. However, many historical buildings in the area remain underutilized. This community service program aims to revitalize local cultural heritage through a digital placemaking approach. We carried out the activity by creating an engaging public space accessible to all community members. The Sokaraja Night Art Festival (SNAF) initiative featured video mapping projections on historical buildings combined with light art, live painting, traditional dance performances, and a bazaar for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The implementation program involves planning, design, execution, and evaluation stages. The main event was held at the Hok Tek Bio temple intersection in Sokaraja, with the theme Molecul Mooi Indie symbolizing local visual art. Evaluation via social media showed broad content reach and positive public response. Notably, the official Instagram account @sokarajanightfestival recorded a 1.57% increase in views over 90 days, from November 2024 to January 2025.
